Full Moon in Capricorn - The Father Within

This year, I’ve seen lots of people posting about Capricorn being misunderstood. I like that.

We are maturing in our Saturn understanding.

Capricorn is a FEMININE sign, the other side of Cancer.

We can EASILY see that Taurus and Scorpio are different sides of the same coin. The sensuality, passion, loyalty, stubbornness and absolute fixity. Taurus is materially fixed, Scorpio is emotionally fixed.

Also the Gemini,  Sagittarius opposition is crystal clear, isn’t it? Cracking jokes, changing plans, always on the move, meeting people, learning, reading, over-promising and sharing information. Gemini lives in a world of possibly, Sag lives a life of faith.

But with Capricorn and Cancer we think Cancer is emotional and loving and Capricorn is cold, stern and obsessed with work. On one level THIS IS TRUE. But right now we are dealing with the polarity, PARTICULARLY because it’s a Full Moon with the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn.

I always teach that you can see when someone is off-piste when they demonstrate the SHADOW of their opposite sign. So as a Sagittarius I’ll become mega indecisive when I’m not being myself, I get stuck in a whirlpool of Gemini possibility.

When Cancer is feeling unbalanced they are cold, disconnected from their heart.

When Capricorn is feeling unbalanced they are a clingy, emotional mess.

At a Full Moon this polarity is EXPOSED and put in the spotlight. 🌕

I can’t even begin to discuss how brilliant last night’s event was with ♣️The Cosmic Club♣️ still processing! But a theme that came up was MATURITY. The Capricorn Moon potential to say, yes I’ve been hurt and I’ve had to learn the hard way but now I’m going to support you. I read about Jono Lancaster on Instagram yesterday, I checked his chart and he has Mars and Jupiter in Capricorn and whilst this is probably more of a Chiron story, I thought he was a good example of Capricorn stoicism.

This Full Moon has BIG MOTHER SUPERIOR ENERGY. Climbing to the top of that hill is not easy, many blisters and much discomfort. When the GOAT gets to the top they use their wisdom and experience to support those at the beginning of their journey. A PILLER of the community. Not just a work obsessed maniac but a nurturing, actively involved (Cardinal), wise parent. A true father figure.

I read somewhere the other day that the media have been working to undermine the father. Homer Simpson may be very kind but he’s a bit of an unhealthy, hopeless loser.

Capricorn is the father; but we all have yin and yang energies within us. A loving Father activates his yin to nurture with maturity. Not the nurturance you need when you fall over and hurt your knee, but the nurturance you need to believe in yourself and know you can make it in the world. Everyone with a strong Saturn trusts and relies on themself, they know they can build their life and surf the ups and downs.

We all have a Saturn, we all have in internal archetype of mastery and growth. Whether you grew up with a father or without one. Were you raised to believe in yourself, own your mistakes and keep on going?

If you were then this Full Moon is an emblem and celebration of how far you have come, all you need to develop, all you need to traverse, all you need to let go of.
